SAN-2088 CANDIDATE PROFILE: MICHAEL CLEAR

I was born and raised in Mosman where my Mother owned a haberdashery 
shop "Peterson's Drapery" at Mosman Junction for 36 years.

I have a BE (Electrical Engineering) and have worked on a number of 
Electrical and Water projects over the past 20 years.

I was married with three sons all of whom have now left home.

After my wife died 4 years ago I moved back to Mosman and started to 
take in interest in the Mosman Community.

I have been following the Climate Change and Carbon Trading debate 
with great interest and have really appreciated the Combined Heat and 
Power [CHP] operations explained by Allan JONES MBE in the Woking 
Municipal Council.

I know considerable work with Combined Heat and Power has been carried 
out in the UK by the Combined Heat and Power Association and in the USA 
by the Department of Energy on Decentralised Energy Systems.
 
Hence I believe I can provide a very valuable contribution to Mosman 
Residents as a Councillor for the Mosman Climate Change Challenge.
