BACKGROUND The demise of the Financial Markets and Housing Markets have costs the Council and its rate-payers considerable revenue. We note that GM/53 "General managers and Directors' Contracts" the General Manager has recommended that Council accept that the following Directors Remuneration Packages are reviewed during the year 1 General Manager $ 229,268 A Director Environment and Planning $ 177,337 B Director Community Development $ 174,802 C Director Corporate Services/Public Officer $ 174,802 TOTAL $ 756,209 There will also be additional costs for expenses, vehicles and Superannuation. The Council Current Climate Change Strategies like Green Electricity has seen an increase in the rates of $ 6.00 per household. Would it not be more appropriate for the Senior Staff and perhaps all staff receive a base salary and a performance bonus based on the amount of cost reduction for the rate-payers ? NEXT STEPS We look forward to Councils' Response on the issue Yours faithfully Paul JENKINS Chair Ethics & Governance Committee SMALL & MEDIUM-SIZE ENTERPRISES [SME] AND SMALL & MEDIUM NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANISATIONS [SMO] E: paul.jenkins@smeems.net M: 0416-009-468 Att A GM/53 Senior Staff - General Manager's and Directors' Contracts B Treasury Model backs Climate Plan C Council Internet sites set on Youth D The Wind's Changed on Global Warming E $ 27,500 - RTA fees to Spit Bridge SKM Consultant[ Home ] [ KSAS-2088 ] [ SAN-2088 Program ] [ Previous Seminar ] [ Next Seminar ] [ Grant Applications ] [ Index Gap Issues ] [ Copyright ]
